With a new console on the market, you might be looking for some games that are Xbox One X Enhanced, so check out these awesome titles!
Forza Horizon 3: I don’t know about you, but this is my favorite Xbox Exclusive of all time. It amazes, and excites me that’ll be getting a graphical upgrade when running on the Xbox One X. It does suck that it won’t be instant like Forza Motorsport 7, and we’re gonna have to wait until January 15th. As for what all we’re getting, it’s been stated that the game will be updated to run in Native 4K! WOOHOO! It already looks amazing running on the Xbox One S with HDR, and it’s only going to get better. The frame rate most likely will not get changed, however maybe there will be a graphics option like in Gears of War 4. Also check out my full review of Forza Horizon 3 if you’d like to know more about the game.
Gears of War 4: It’s amazing to see such a passionate community of gamers, that support the Gears of War franchise. It’s also understandable that first party Xbox titles will be getting the royal treatment when it comes to optimization on the new console. Gears of War 4 will be getting some big improvements, like Native 4K, enhanced HDR, and longer draw distances. The upgrade that i’m most excited for is the new “Performance Mode” which will offer 60 FPS gameplay while still running at an upscaled resolution. It’s definitely time we see some higher frame rates on the console side of gaming, and this is a big step toward that. Check it out here if you’re interested in getting Gears of War 4.
Halo 5 Guardians: As far as FPS shooters go, Halo 5 is pretty solid. The developers at 343 Industries have said that they are working on getting the game to run in native 4K, however it’s been stated that frame rate will take priority over graphics. It’s reasonable to assume that Halo 5 will run in native 4K at 60FPS, but if not it’ll probably use a dynamic scaling resolution in order to keep the game running smoothly at 60FPS. Halo 5 guardians is a very graphically impressive game, and it’ll get a whole lot better when It’s Xbox One X Enhanced. Check it out here if you’re interested in getting Halo 5 Guardians .
Quantum Break: Perhaps one of the most interesting Third-Person action games I’ve ever played is getting a hefty upgrade to say the least. So Quantum Break was already a pretty good looking game, sure it ran like crap on the original Xbox One, but now it’s a pretty decent console experience. The game’s update is around 170GB if you want to download every bit of it onto your hard drive. that’s almost 17% of the standard 1TB hard drive that comes installed in the Xbox One X. 4K assets are huge, and there’s no getting around it. Either way, it’ll make the cutscenes look extra crisp, and the smooth gameplay even smoother. Check it out here if you’d like to pick up Quantum Break.
Super Lucky’s Tale: when I first saw the game trailer for this I laughed out loud. It’s also funny that it’s Xbox One X Enhanced. Interestingly enough, this game is getting a visual upgrade on the Xbox One X, and will run in native 4K. How much of a difference that will make for a 3D cartoony platformer game like this I don’t have the slightest clue. It’s a fun looking game that can literally appeal to all audiences, check out Super Lucky’s Tale if you’re interested.
